Perlite filter aid
Expanded and micronized Turkish perlite in three grades from 2 to 4 darcy. White, inert, low in soluble iron, and a lighter alternative to diatomaceous earth for pre-coat and body-feed filtration.
Grades
Pick the grade by the clarity and flow rate your filter needs: M1 for the tightest filtration, M2 for the highest flow, M0 in between with the highest bulk density.

Producer's specification ranges. Your lot's analysis is sent with the sample and again with each shipment.
Where it is used
- Beer, wine, cider and juice. Pre-coat and body feed in plate-and-frame, candle and leaf filters.
- Edible oils and biodiesel. Removal of bleaching clay, soaps and fines before polishing.
- Sugar, sweeteners and pharmaceuticals. Clarification of syrups and process liquors.
- Swimming pool D.E.-type filters. Drop-in replacement for diatomaceous earth at roughly half the weight per charge.
- Chemicals and industrial fluids. Coolants, electroplating baths, process water.
